National Pink Flamingo Day was created in 2007 by Dean Mazzaralla, the mayor of Leominster, MA, to honor Don Featherstone, an American artist most widely known for his 1957 creation of the plastic pink flamingo. These lawn ornaments have become a pop culture icon.

Is that a raccoon?
Assuming you are asking a serious question, it's a red panda.
Yes, it was a serious question, but let's not get carried away and assume in the future that I might be asking more serious questions. It did look like a weird raccoon.

Red “panda”, which “modern genetic evidence places it in close affinity with raccoons, weasels, and skunks”
Thank you. I just wondering if that red panda could get over that glass wall... although the more serious question is, would it even want to get over that wall?

Officials at Discovery Cove celebrated their latest addition to their pink flamingo family, which was born just weeks before National Flamingo Day on June 23.
The baby Caribbean flamingo hatched on June 7 to mom, Abbie, and dad, LJ, after following the normal incubation period of 27-31 days, officials said.
The chick has distinct, gray downy feathers to help it stay warm for now. It will start wandering off the nest within a few days to explore the shallow water, with mom and dad's supervision.
Officials said the chick is expected to reach adult size in four months and will be completely pink in about two to three years.
While the baby pink flamingo is not residing in the park's Flamingo Point public habitat yet, officials said visitors can observe the rest of the flamingos up close while learning from the park’s experts.

Thanks for posting that video. I've never seen a flamingo so young.
And to add to the excitement, after driving to the doctors and back on Wednesday and seeing zilch sandhill cranes, today we saw a total of fourteen . Very cool as we are big sandhill crane fans.

Did I mention that there's sound with it if you click through to Imgur?
Our solar flamingo outdoor light is made of metal, with (1) leg, lots of tropical sunset color on its various parts and a plastic ball in the middle. That’s where the solar panel and light are—and the light is pink, of course! Comes with a 12" long metal stand for your lawn, and the flamingo itself is 9" tall.
Looks cool. I have two outdoor lights shaped like flamingos that have solar panels to charge their lights. Sadly one died but the other works well, good for 2-3 hours after sunset. I can't post a link since they were a present from my wife
